Outreach & placements

Creative outreach and a willingness to take risks are hallmarks of the Crick Centre’s approach to both scholarship and impact.

Not only have Crick Centre staff enjoyed placements within government departments, Parliament and a number of think tanks but the Crick Centre has also hosted a number of young people on work experience right through to e-democracy web designers who want to understand the latest academic research.

The two-way interaction between Crick staff and external partners forms a vital element of the centre’s work.

In 2014, for example, the Crick Centre will be hosting a number of Public Service Fellowships to enrich the collaborative proces.

These practitioner and public outreach and placement opportunities are complemented by a constant flow of Visiting Professors and Visiting Fellows through the Crick Centre.
