Crick ESRC Knowledge Exchange Hub Announced

Posted on June 10th, 2015 by Liz Wood

The Crick Centre is proud to announce its newly commissioned status as an ESRC Knowledge Exchange Hub. The Knowledge-Exchange Hub will be in the area of democratic reform and constitutional change, and will look to create and publicise a number of short and informative films for 16-24 year olds centred on the Centre’s Knowledge-Exchange area.

The films will be the focus then of several important events over the coming twelve months, and will aim to create and promote discussion and debate around democratic reform and constitutional change, with the exchange officially begins this July 1st

The project will combine expertise from Crick Centre Directors Matthew Flinders, Kate Dommett & Matt Wood, as well as Titus Alexander from Democracy Matter UK & Matteo Bergamini from Shout Out UK.

Talking about the ESRC Knowledge-Exchange Hub, Matthew Flinders noted:

‘It’s great to be working with the ESRC as a Knowledge Exchange Hub as there can hardly have been a better time to ensure that public debates are underpinned by the very best available research and evidence. Our aim is to really push the boundaries of engaged scholarship’.

Here at the Crick we’re all very excited at the prospects for the Hub, and will be sure to keep followers updated with all activity and developments!
