Crick Centre Annual Lecture by Yasmin Alibhai Brown and panel: Professor Matt Flinders, Lord David Blunkett and Professor Jenny Phillimore

 

9th November 6.30pm St George’s Lecture Theatre

The Crick Centre is delighted to announce that the journalist and author Yasmin Alibhai Brown will be giving the 2015 Crick Lecture on the 9 November in St Georges Church Lecture Theatre at the University of Sheffield. The title of the lecture is ‘Politics and Diversity: A Journey Around Exotic England’ and Yasmin will explore the notion of ‘otherness’ and how this relates to contemporary debates and diversity and Englishness. Yasmin is not only a former winner of the Orwell Prize but she was also a close friend of Bernard Crick and a leading commentator on contemporary politics.
