Our research projects are diverse, revolving around our five core research themes. Projects aim to produce rigorous, theoretically informed, policy relevant and publically salient research.

The focus is on addressing the changing nature of our political societies and their implications for future academic theory and concepts, public policy reforms, and public understandings of politics in all its diverse forms. We already have a significant track record of attracting substantial funding for research from prestigious funding bodies such as the UK Economic and Social Research Council, Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.

We would like to invite a diverse range of academic researchers interested in these and similar topics from around the world to contact us with ideas for research.

We have a number of external partners in the academic, policy and wider public spheres. There are also opportunities for researchers to come to our office in Sheffield on visiting fellowships and professorships, and work with our team on current and future research projects.
